With the last days of classes taking place this week (finally!) and then of course the dreaded finals that follow...and with it being near high school graduation and the flood of summer weddings....

I've been rather busy.

and on top of it all i've procrastinated all projects and studying (when will I ever learn?)

oh yeah...... and

PLANNING A WEDDING

So I apologize in advance for the lack of posts.

These next two weeks (or until I finish ALL finals) I'm going to attempt a mini-blogging break (we'll see how long I last).

plus, I thought I'd be kind and spare you all my rants about school, finals, grades,

HIGHER EDUCATION AS A WHOLE.

{when I get going....it aint pretty}.

to sum up my feelings i'll quote the wise words of my Grampsi:

"Don't let school get in the way of your education."

well said Gpa.

I couldn't agree more.

Raw Kayla

Had a mini shoot with Kayla today (recognize this gal, we did a shoot in the apple orchard a few months back). Unlike the first shoot, today it was bitter cold (oh golly that deceiving sun!) But Kayla is a champ: kept her cool (no pun intended) and looks so peaceful and serene!

Here's the best part of this shoot: the lighting was gorgeous.

I haven't touched a single one of these pictures! Total

raw beauty! This is a proud moment for a photographer :) or at least for this one (meaning me).

This gal has Brains and Beauty!

When she grows up she wants to do something in the world of medicine.

(although she could easily be America's Next Top Model)

She's a senior in high school, anxiously awaiting graduation.

Her mom says she's been ready for college for years (sounds all to familiar)...

Despite the fact that she's a total bombshell, McKell is full of that down-to-earth-goodness that I just adore. This shoot was a total hoot!

Dear McKell,

Meet Kayla C.

I had waaayyyy too much fun with this lovely girl today!  Kayla is a fellow aspiring photographer and a senior in high school.  She loves life, little kids, and she la la la loves being behind the camera (we have that in common).  It was such a joy for me to work with her in-front of the camera.  Darling isn't she?!
