*This poem. I've heard it a million times, but never found it so fitting than when it was shared at my graduation ceremonies. I don't think I'm a pioneer in the world. No. Nothing I'm doing is new or novel as far as the world is concerned. But in my life, for me, becoming an art major, or rather, becoming an artist, was pioneering a whole new path. What difference has it made? All the difference in the world.
This is really really beautiful. I love what you say at the bottom of the poem about becoming an artist. It's a scary path to take but it is so fulfilling and you can't not do what you were born to do. I've always loved this poem, and this post made me love it more.
