This Handsome Devil

is my husband.

I maybe just mighta sorta stalked his music here for um....about 4 months before he asked me out. On our first date his parents talked him into playing a few of his songs for me. I pretended I had no idea he did that sort of stuff (yeah, i'm a liar...but i had to protect my pride right?!) I had to clench my teeth so I wouldn't give myself away by singing along! He's so talented. I can't hum a tune. And he WRITES them. He amazes me. Yesterday I came home from work to here his lovely voice as he sang a brand new song. It's not recorded yet (like so many of them). But maybe someday eh? He'd probably hate me for bragging about him like this so I better stop. But check out his stuff here and you'll see {hear} what i mean :)

The favorites of the day are

dear cyberspace,

hello old chap.

We've had a pretty serious relationship for some time now. Seems I couldn't go a day without perusing your vast and endless supply of... stuff. It was a give give relationship. Very healthy if I do say so myself. And I do. So I think I owe you a big fat apology. So I'm sorry: IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME! well, actually it's my apartments lack of internet (aka: my neighbor's lack of willingness to share internet {aka lack of neighbors}). Alas, I'll have to be all techy and call the internet people myself. Bleh. And since I only get to see visit you every other full moon (aka, anytime I'm at my parent's house) it'll probably be a while before we can truly catch up. (that is after I do all my grown-up stuff and pay bills and schedule classes and figure out tuition and respond to e-mails...) And then before you know it it'll be like old times again! And our relationship will be stronger than ever! I know it may take some time for find it in yourself to forgive me,
but oh how i hope you do! Cause I miss you very very much.

and I was hoping that you kinda maybe missed me too....
maybe?

circle yes or no

yipee!!

The mr and I just got back from DC with the family and to my giddy surprise Elise Lauren posted photos from the wedding! I can't tell you how happy I am right now!!! Mostly, I can't even explain how happy I am that Elise was our photographer! She was just as much a bridesmaid, as she was a photographer (i'm pretty sure I had her fix my home-made-hair-do a bazillion times that day). Anyway B and I still don't have internet :( But in the mean time you should go check out the amazing elise's blog!! here. And you can view more from the wedding day from her blog (and order prints!) I'm a little jealous...you'll probably get to see them all before I do! poo poo (darn no internet....) Anyway...I can't emphasize how grateful I am to Elise! Her work is amazing!! She captured every bit of everything! More on her and more on the wedding and DC soon!

the hubs and I are excited to sleep in our own bed tonight which means leaving my parentals....which means leaving internet...which means leaving all the lovely photos.... :(

love to you all!!

xoxo
Kitty

P.S. I only had time to steal one photo from Elise. I can't even say it's my favorite though...all of them are favorites!

so....

what do you want first?
the good news?
the bad news?
the even worse news?

ok. the bad news:
we are still internet-less.

the even worse news:
we both caught some sort of stomach bug in mexico.

the good news:
we are so stinken in love :)

we can live without internet. we can live with an upset stomach.
WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT EACH OTHER!

Our last week was spent downing bottles of pepto, trying to fit the necessities in our tiny kitchen, kissing each other's tummies better, work, work, work, celebrating B's birthday, mooching meals off our parents, and lots of lovin.

oh...and some really exciting news!!

in TWO days B, myself, my sis-to-be, and the family will be visiting my big brother in DC!

So...this means posts will be even fewer and farer (is that a word?!) between.

But I pinky promise when we get home:
PICTURES GALORE!

cause this blog has been lacking.

and what's a post without a picture anyway?!

that being said:

a better look at the dress :)

To The Birthday Boy

Dear Husband,

I love you.
Madly.
Today you turn 23.

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

If I had planned it out better, I would have borrowed my sister's ukulele. Learned how to play it. And sung you this song:

YOU AND I

Written by Ingrid Michaelson

Don't you worry there my honey
We might not have any money
But we've got our love to pay the bills

Maybe I think you're cute and funny
Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you if you know what I mean

Oh lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France
Lets get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance
Lets get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

Well you might be a bit confused
And you might be a little bit bruised
But baby how we spoon like no one else
So I will help you read those books
If you will soothe my worried looks
And we will put the lonesome on the shelf

Lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France
Lets get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance
Lets get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

Lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France
Lets get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance
Lets get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

you make me all sorts of happy.

:)

hello dear friends!

I'm home!
I'm healthy!
I'm a married woman!

June 25th, 2010 will surely go down as the happiest day of my life.

The wedding was better than I could have ever dreamed! Mostly because I never dreamed up a man so amazing as my husband.

Husband.

(gosh that feels so good to say!)

I have so much to say/share/blog but I'm afraid our little mansion doesn't have internet yet.
soon.
(i hope)

speaking of our little mansion: we are head-over-hills in love with our 400 square foot love shack under the stairs. I can't wait to show you pictures! Thanks to Husband, and both sets of parents, we now have a beautiful home :)

Also:
Happy Fourth!
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday! Brandon and I flew home from mexico (where we honeymooned hehehe) on the third. Met up with my family at the usual spot and watched the fireworks and ate good food :) Sunday (the real fourth) was lovely as all sundays are. Monday, the fifth, I woke up earlier than i have in weeks (earlier than my wedding day!) to run a 5k with my dad and cousins. It about killed me. And possibly shook up another kidneystone (eek). That evening was spent with my new family making our own little firework show. All in all it was a lovely holiday. It always has been my favorite :)

honeymooning and holidays are over.
The Mr. and I are back to work.
the real world.
pinching pennies.

normally I'd say "bleh" to all this.
but being married to my love makes those "bleh" bits of life less "bleh".

that man...
he's so good to me.

And guess what?! He turns 23 tomorrow!
I have all sorts of surprises in store for him :)
starting with breakfast in bed.
(which he's done for me every day since we've been married!! EVERY DAY! gee i'm spoiled.)

a friend told me today that when I married Brandon I broke a hundred girls hearts.

I don't doubt it one second.

he's so amazing!

I've got to go wrap presents!
